JOB TITLE: Digital Content Designer

LOCATION: London

CONTRACT: 6 months

DAILY RATE: Up to £250 per day

The ideal candidate will be working closely with the Digital Team and Marketing Team managing the entire digital side of the marketing campaign. On a day to day basis, the candidate will be attending various meetings for the campaign, planning content and overseeing all social media and the website. They will be liaising with the marketing press office and other government departments.

Experience working with wordpress as it is the platform that the website is built upon, and experience with social media

Experience in analysis and evaluation as this would be advantageous when reading social media content

KEY TASKS AND DELIVERABLES

The Content Manager will support the Strategic Marketing Manager and Deputy Head of Digital on the campaign within the Communications Directorate.

Devising and maintaining a suitable content calendar such that demand for additional content is well planned and managed, and all content used as exhaustively as possible.

Maintaining the campaign website, updating existing content and creating new content, sourcing images to illustrate content.

Maintaining and expanding a database of suitable case studies, ensuring these are suitable and willing to be used.

Writing copy for both stakeholder, PR and social media use and selling this in.

Actively seek out opportunities to engage online with SMEs through social media channels, forums and events.

Organising and delivering online 'events' activity including Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn Q and As, webinars, podcasts, Google Hangouts etc.

Working with communications colleagues across OGDs and agencies to ensure all and any channels to SMEs are maximised and carry campaign branding (including creating content).

Working with the PR Manager and Partnerships Manager to organise and deliver a series of events which would be themed, time-bound spikes of activity to include tactical marketing activity, PR, events, social activity etc.

Working with campaign partners to ensure all partner channels are maximised to best effect including creating appropriate content for these.

Working with the external relations team to encourage greater stakeholder support and involvement in the campaign.

The role requires someone with confidence, diplomacy and persuasion skills to encourage senior business spokespeople to support the campaign and feature in this content.

Experience of agency management skills and a thorough understanding of PR and social media techniques are also required.
