CONTRACT TYPE: 12 MONTH FTC

REPORTS TO: DIGITAL SEARCH & CONTENT MANAGER
DIRECT REPORTS: NONE

MISSION:

To identify and promote the production and implementation of online creative content and digital marketing opportunities in support of the Marketing and Communication requirements and the Club's achievement of tactical and strategic goals.
Support the business in implementing online content to the Club's websites, promote Club Sites, increase Member acquisition and retention, improve campsite booking figures and raise awareness of the Club and its products and services.

JOB FUNCTION:

STRATEGIC SUPPORT

- Supporting the Digital Search and Content Manager in identifying, setting and achieving strategic objectives and priorities for the development of digital and communication programmes using various online channels.

To work with colleagues from across the business to help shape the overall communications strategy for the Club in the digital space.

WEBSITE AND ONLINE MARKETING

- Ensure all Club websites and webpages are up to date through the use of various Content Management Systems - as made through website change requests from across the business.
- Exhibit knowledge of and appreciation for the Club brands and display this accurately and effectively across digital channels as requested by and in support of the requirements laid out by the Digital Search and Content Manager and the Digital Executive.

SEM MANAGEMENT

- Work closely with other Digital Marketing Assistant(s) to research, identify and maintain opportunities for effective, well performing non-paid for search marketing activity across multiple digital channels with the Digital Executive and Paid Search Team.
- Ensure ROI of online marketing channels is met alongside the Senior Paid Search Executive.

CONVERSION RATE OPTIMISATION

- Support the wider digital team in the analysis and setup of CRO work to improve online performance in terms of conversion and usability.

EXTERNAL CONTENT MAINTENANCE

- Ensuring information on the businesses products and services on third party websites are updated and maintained regularly.
- Establishing and nurturing internal and external relationships in this area and reporting on their performance as part of Analytics, Reporting and Research.

EVENT COLLATION AND SUBMISSION

- Research events around the Site network, writing unique copy for our own events section of the website.
- Photo Optimisation

Resizing and optimising images utilised on the web both on and off site for our products and services.

ANALYTICS, REPORTING AND RESEARCH

- Assist the Digital Team and wider marketing team in updating and creating KPI reports and analytical insights. This would include assisting the business in dashboard creation and management of our dashboards facility.
- Utilise various online tools and data feeds to digest, collate and empower the digital marketing team in the latest knowledge of and information on industry trends, content and research.

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

EXPERIENCE:

1+ years' experience in a similar role / environment

QUALIFICATIONS:

Educated to A-level, BTEC or Degree level or equivalent experience is desirable but is not essential

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

- Extensive experience of and enthusiasm for analytics, data interpretation, SEM, SEO and PPC techniques
- Knowledge of information architecture, user experience and journey as well as usability techniques and practices
- Experience of Content Management Systems
- Self-motivated and capable of working under own initiative
- Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Highly literate - with appreciation of how language can be used to effectively communicate, influence and convert
- Ability to deliver engaging and assertive copy in a consistent style with a focus on calls to action and conversion
- Attentiveness to detail - with an eye for design and the ability to take a brief to deliver at a high standard
- Good communicator, comfortable with showing what data means and how to take action based on it
- Passion for online retail / ecommerce and all things digital

DESIRABLE SKILLS:

- Some experience in HTML / CSS as part of basic web design / development knowledge
- Well-versed in the use of Photoshop / other image manipulation software
- The ability to analyse results and prepare reports on a weekly / monthly / campaign length basis
- The ability to work with spreadsheets and databases
- An appreciation for UI / UX
- Understanding of Conversion Optimisation
- Marketing within a not-for-profit, volunteer based or membership organisations

You will be a highly presentable person with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Consumer / web user focused with a strong commercial acumen. You will have the ability to work as part of a close-knit team, hold a genuine enthusiasm for the digital space. You are results and performance driven, a real desire to learn new skills and keep up with new online marketing techniques and technologies is essential. Highly proactive, you're energetic, and a self-starter who thrives on getting stuff done. Excellent attendance and punctuality with an appreciation for deadlines is vital.
