Digital Communications Officer

My client, a large public sector health organisation, is currently looking for a digital communications officer to join their team in London.

As Digital communications officer for you will work as part of a virtual communications team to help deliver our communications strategy.

You will support the work of the digital lead by:

- helping to plan digital communications activity
- commissioning, creating, editing and publishing high-quality multimedia web content
- using social media channels
- evaluating the impact and effectiveness of this work
- building excellent relationships with colleagues across the department and with relevant stakeholders

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE:

- writing and/or editing experience
- excellent attention to detail and grasp of grammar, punctuation etc.
- strong interest in and enthusiasm for digital communications and social media

DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE:

- digital communications including social media
- using content management systems
- social media monitoring and/or other types of evaluation
- creating and/or commissioning written content, photographs and/or video
- public sector or central government experience
- health care experience

The role is being offered on an initial 6 month contract paying up to £260/day.
