Digital Commerce IT Manager

Harvey Nash are a global Professional Services provider in the areas of Technology and Engineering Recruitment and Outsourcing. For our client, a global Healthcare Organisation in Munich we are currently looking for a Digital Commerce IT Manager for Europe to join on the basis of an initial freelance basis with the long-term plan being a permanent role running the IT department.

Digital Commerce IT Manager (m/f).

Duration : 6 months initially
Intensity: Full-Time
Location: Munich

Task Description:
*Deliver e-business applications by direct development, deployment of suitable solutions and management of other development agents
*Partner with business teams/support function staff to understand business problems and opportunities and develop solutions that align with business strategies
*Develop roadmaps for new services to support business and maintain development plans to keep existing applications up to date
*Implement regional process improvement to support effectiveness of ITs standard operating processes
*Promote and champion the IT strategy with regional business teams in a multicultural environment

Required Skills:
*Degree in Computer Science or similar
*In-depth knowledge of Java, JEE & Web technologies, database technologies, standards based design, requirements gathering and analysis skills
*Further experience with current technologies such as Hybris, AEM, Informatica PIM, IBM IDM, Linux, XML including designing, coding, unit testing and/or maintaining complex software programs and/or knowledge in web services protocols (e.g. REST & SOAP) and related data formats like JSON is desirable
*Excellent communication skills at all levels in a multi-disciplinary environment
*First exposure to influencing a multicultural team and commercial IT experience in a Digital Commerce environment is a plus
*Strong interest in honing personal leadership skills and influencing teams
*Strong written and verbal English skills, other European languages a plus
