Devops Linux Contract 450-500

Systems Administrator / DevOps / Linux Developer - revolutionising an industry - LINUX / Infrastructure - Fantastic Opportunity greenfield projects CONTRACT 6months 450 per day

My client use the latest cloud technologies and offer fantastic career progression through a fantastic training programme on and off-site. They work in a dual environment so experience working within cloud is essential, as is experience within Managed Hosting / ISP

The ideal Sys Admin / DevOps will be from a Hosting background and will be currently working as an DevOps or similar for a Global organisation and comfortable liasing with colleagues in different countries. I need theis person to be the glue between the teams

This is a "glue" position and as such you will need to come from a background within an environment with multiple teams and technologies that you mould together - ideally from a Cloud, AWS, based Managed Services company.

Sys Admin / DevOps Skills & Requirements

* Experience working in a fast paced, mission critical technical role. You will be the glue that keeps some very important financial software hanging together.
* Experience with creating and managing a build pipeline, preferably with Teamcity.
* Experience with MySQL, as a component of the job will be managing our caching layer, MemSQL, which is based on MySQL (this is not a DBA role and you don't need to be a DBA - just a moderate amount of experience).
* Linux experience required.
* We use Chef, Jenkins, and Gerrit in our orchestration, so experience in these would be a big plus, as would some experience of Python, Ruby and shell scripting.
* AKKA, Couchbase, Elasticsearch experience a plus.
* Experience with AWS and Openstack.
* Working knowledge of Apache.

JVM performance tuning is a big plus on this DevOps / Sys Admin / infrastructure position
