DEVOPS ENGINEER X2 - ANSIBLE, PYTHON, LINUX, SYSADMIN - LONDON - £650PD

My client a large media organisation in West London are looking for a contract DevOps Engineer to join their team for 6 months contract. You will get the opportunity to work within a well-known brand with a well established and growing development/IT department. We are looking for candidates that ideally have an understanding of the Ansible tool in particular but also people who know Puppet and GIT. The ideal candidate can come from either a Development or SysAdmin background however the successful talent must have an understanding of a 27/5/365 support function.

KEY SKILLS:

- Ability to use a wide variety of open source technologies and tools - Ansible (preferred), Puppet (preferred), Git, etc.
- Ability to code and script on Unix & Linux based systems: Python, Bash, etc
- Experience with systems and IT operations in a 24/7/365 scenario
- Comfort with frequent, incremental code testing and deployment using process such as Agile & ITIL delivery frameworks
- Strong grasp of automation tools for testing, deployment, CI & CD principles
- Data management skills Source control systems such as Git and best practice for implementation
- A strong focus on business outcomes & understanding requirements
- Comfort with collaboration, open communication and reaching across functional borders
- Ideally from a SysAdmin or Development background with understanding of a 24/7/365 Support function.
- Understanding of Configuration management process principles

LOCATION: West London

CONTRACT LENGTH: 6 months + extensions

RATE: £650pd (depending on experience)
