DEVOPS ENGINEER (Mid-Sr Level) needed for a 6 MONTH CONTRACT OPPORTUNITY with Yoh's client located in SAN FRANCISCO (SFO FINANCIAL DISTRICT), CA

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Unix/Linux Administration, Programming and Scripting in Perl or Python, and Bash, System Deployment, REMOTE ACCESS (OPENSWAN, OPENVPN, IPSEC, GRE/IPSEC, ETC), Troubleshooting, Systems monitoring, Risk Assessment, Architecture Review Policies, Monitoring, Forensics
- DevOps Engineer will Build and MANAGE HYBRID SERVER NETWORKS IN DEVELOPMENT, QA and production environments.
- Provision managed services and associated products to customers.
- Dev Ops Engineer will Assist in formulating security mechanisms to prevent, detect, and respond to internal and external security threats.
- DevOps Engineer will Work with a team to automate management tasks, streamline processes and perform standard administration functions as needed.
- Dev Ops Engineer will Monitor system performance, make recommendations to improve and implement system wide changes to enhance overall system proficiency.
- Validate deployment candidate packages and write deployment plans.
- Monitor network availability and performance.
- Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- Five (5+) years of SOLID experience as Linux Sys Admin
- Linux System Administration (CentOS or Redhat and/or Ubuntu)
- SCALING RUBY ON RAILS (MYSQL PLUS NON-BLOCKING)
- Flash video transport, Actionscript (w/Flex Monkey), JavaScript (w/Jasmine), CHEF
- Cisco Routers and Switches, PC based Servers (Dell Servers, etc), Network Switches (HP/Extreme)
- Firewall Maintenance, Distributed File System Maintenance (OpenAFS)
