DevOps Engineer - Brussels - Must speak French or Dutch!

In the context of a DevOps program, our client within the financial sector is searching for a DevOps Engineer.

The objective of the programme is to optimize the build, test and deployment strategy of different technologies by implementing new processes and supporting tools which follow the DevOps principles.

The Digital Incubator groups the agile development teams and he/she will accompany them implementing DevOps principles and train them on the best practices.

In this role he/she must have an end to end view engineering view and will be in contact with many teams/stakeholders (from development to release management) in the IT organization. He/she will ensure the new processes fulfil the requirements, remove silos and allow a smooth cooperation between teams.

The DevOps Engineer will be part of the Web Framework & DevOps team.

Coach agile development teams
Improve deliverables of the team by training them on best practices regarding coding and testing
Assist with implementation of Behaviour Driven Development
Assist with implementation of API testing
Setup and support automated Build & Deploy facilities for the teams Validate how new processes and requirements can be implemented:
Cross-check the requirements with the capabilities of the existing platform and evaluate if the existing platform/tooling can be extended or if new tooling must be added Propose optimizations:
Use the interactions with the various teams/stakeholders to identify the pains with which they are confronted
Keep up to date on industry standards and evolutions and use this knowledge to propose evolutions and improvements Integrate the deliverables (tools and new processes) of the DevOps programme
within the existing platform, meaning:
Design how the new tools and processes will be integrated in, or added to the existing platform
Write architectural technical documents compliant with the existing BNPPF standards
Elaboration of standards and guidelines
Installation of the new tools/plugins if applicable.
Customizations and configuration of the existing tools/plugins
Interconnection of the tools/plugins on the platform
Elaboration of installation documents/procedures and end-user guides
Accompany our clients with the correct implementation/best practices and use of processes and tools

The existing platform mainly covers:
Continuous build/integration
Automated deployment (including release management)
Code scanning tools (quality/security)
Testing tools (unit testing, test automation, service virtualization, performance testing, test management)
Collaboration tools
Workstation development tools

The main development platforms supported are:
Java/IOS/Android/.NET

Profile:
Experience in the administration, setup and maintenance of Jenkins as continuous build and integration platform
Experience in Java development
Experience with continuous build platforms (SVN/Git, Maven, Nexus, Jenkins)
Experience with Scripting languages for automation
Experience in code scanning tools (Sonar/Fortify) is a plus
Experience in mobile development tools for Android and IOS platforms is a plus
Experience on Windows platforms
Experience on Linux platforms
Dutch or French Speaker
