DevOps Engineer - Amsterdam
€500 - €600 p/day [negotiable]

December 2018/January 2019 start
2-month contract initially (but very likely to extend)

Our Global financial services client is looking for a DevOps focused Application Support Engineer with extensive Jira Admin, Workflows, Jenkins Pipelines/Admin and GitHub as well as a solid understanding of software delivery life cycles to support their IFRS17 programme in Amsterdam.

The ideal skills and experience would include experience/some knowledge with most of the following:

Linux (RedHat/OVM) - Networking - TCP/IP, DNS, iptables, tcpdump
Perl, SSH, .sh, PowerShell Scripting

Application Delivery

GitHub - Essential
Packaging of Build Artefacts - RPM, NuGet, JAR, WAR, etc. - Essential

Engineering CI/CD automation - from an Application Release/Developer view

Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery thinking methods and techniques
Hands on Maven, Jenkins, Hudson, ANT Scripting to achieve automated success - Essential
Scripting API (REST, Soap) services to carry out automated tasks

Tool set integrations

Jira Admin, Workflows, Integrations - Essential
Jenkins Admin, Pipelines, Patching - Essential

Normal working week will be 5 days onsite in Amsterdam but with occasional travel to Cardiff, UK (all expensed and planned in advance)
