Devops Engineer

JOB TITLE: DEVOPS ENGINEER

CONTRACT RATE: NEGOTIABLE DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE

CONTRACT LENGTH: 9 MONTHS

Our Client, one of the world's foremost Telecoms companies, is looking to recruit a DevOps Engineer to join their team based in Amsterdam.

(REQUIRED - At least 2 of the skills mentioned in each of these points)

QUALIFICATION/EXPERIENCE:

· Strong scripting experience using languages like Ruby, Python, Nodejs or Groovy, Rest API

· Knowledge of Logging and APM tools: Prometheus, Splunk/ELK, Grafana, filebeat, alertmanager

· Public and private Cloud experience AWS / Azure / Google Cloud / OpenStack)

· Experience with continuous integration platforms such as Jenkins

SKILLS REQUIRED:

· Experience in VMware, converged infrastructure and cloud-based solutions

· Exposure to Data Center provisioning process

· Experience in Linux and Windows servers.

· Exposure to various components of the Data Center such as Security, Networking, Patching, Provisioning and Virtualization

· Well versed with MS-Office tools and report generation

· Work hands-on to create automated, containerized cloud application platforms, and design and implement DevOps processes that use those platforms

· Immutable infrastructure, docker containers, mesos, kubernetes and microservices architecture

· Integrate various components and build tools that allow our system and the entire team to operate more efficiently

· Act as a subject matter expert for troubleshooting and resolving complex, multi-tier architecture problems that span a number of different platforms

· Automate production operations processes

· Automate continuous integration and deployment processes

· Deliver infrastructure requests for software projects on time

· Proactive Monitoring design and automation

· Handled DevOps Projects including automation and containers

· Hands on experience in Chef Ansible, Rancher, Kubernetes, container orchestration

· CI/CD/CT and deployment experience
