Devops Engineer

We are looking for DevOPS engineers for our worldwide oriented client in Amsterdam! This is for a contract position for about 6 months with the possibility to extend.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

As a DevOps Engineer you will be responsible for the data model, the use of the data and tuning the queries. You will advise and educate the other team members regarding the use and implementation of the distributed data platform.

This main purpose of this department is to create, evolve and maintain shared services, components and frameworks for other departments/scrum teams. The department is also responsible for (distributed) data solutions, like (Apache), Cassandram, Spark and Solr.

The departments' main duties are:

- Take ownership of distributed data solutions which are used by the squads and provide consultancy on these solutions
- Investigate, understand and choose the right tool(s) for the job to be done and ensure that the squads are capable to use them
- Industrialize a data solution, so that it can be used seamlessly by the other departments
- Continuously monitor and improve efficiency, quality and time-to-market through in-depth automation of building, testing and deployment
- Phasing-out data solutions that have reached the end of their life cycle

YOUR PROFILE

- Bach/Master degree
- Knowledge of Apache Spark/Apache Solr/Scala is beneficial
- Solid understanding of operating, maintaining and developing against NoSQL/Low Latency Data Store (LLDS) Solutions eg Cassandra
- Version Management, GIT, Continuous Integration
