Devops Engineer

My client is a leading global organisation within the telecommunications and tech industry. They are looking for a DevOps engineer to work within the ever growing team in Paris for a 6 month Contract.
As a DevOps Engineer you should have reasonable experience in Java as coding would slightly be involved in the role. My client is rolling out VoIP and Voicemail services both
have a strong focus on quality and user experience and aim to become a major player in the VoIP space.

The team work in a fast-moving environment, employing Agile methodologies and rapid iterations of both client applications and server platforms. They develop and operate using the latest techniques and technologies, incorporating both relational and NoSQL databases, XMPP messaging, iPhone and Android development and JEE platforms.
Task :
-technical expertise around N Tiers product (Support to IT operation team, studies, technical architecture, technological intelligence),
-ensure the run of the N-Tiers product and maintain the platform (technical and software monitoring, performance management, project development, processing request)
-contact for API dev team

Skills and experience :
-advanced diploma in IT
-3 years of exp in Java admin platform (Weblogic/WebSphere/Tomcat/JBoss)
-team spirit, use to managing responsibilities, be able to deal with priorities

Knowledge :
-Java Application Server : Apache/Tomcat or other (Weblogic/Wesphere) (+++)
-admin Unix/Linux : better if RedHat (++)
-Good knowledge on Oracle 11G or MySQL (+)
-Scripting bash/python, ... (+)
-a plus : experience on Nosql/VOIP (asterisk)/PHP/ejabberd

Working environment:
-Workstation : Linux
-Open to all technologies
-support : 1 week/month to plan

Preferred qualifications:

Great team player. They use Agile methodologies throughout, so being a good contributor is paramount. Loner genius types are not required, unless you are very, very good.

Can-do attitude. We can all think of good reasons why something won't work, but those people who can come up with solutions are the ones we want to speak to.

Be able to write great code is a given, so poor experience is not an option. Attention to detail and a desire to make the best possible experience for the consumer is a must.

You also have to be experienced with source code control tools, bug tracking and reporting tools and know how to work within a fast moving development team. We work at Internet start-up speeds, but like to maintain a telecoms attitude to reliability.
