You can look forward to:

- Design, configuration, implementation, maintenance, and monitoring IT infrastructure and tools
- Working with product engineering on new or updated features, deployment, and debugging tasks
- Coordination of incident response; automation and optimization of processes
- Participation in an on-call rotation for mission-critical systems
- Keeping technically abreast of trends and advancements within area of specialization, incorporating these improvements where applicable
- Providing technical direction and guidance to less senior staff

The qualified DevOps Developer we seek will have 3-7 years of relevant work experience, including:

- 3+ years experience with Scripting (Python, PERL, Shell, etc.)
- 3+ years RDBMS such as Oracle/MySQL/Postgres
- 3+ years experience with Linux system administration
- Exposure to ETL applications - like Talend
- Exposure to cloud environments - prefer AWS (with VPC/VPN)
- Exposure to automated configuration management (Puppet or Chef)
- Exposure to monitoring tools and instrumentation to proactively ensure optimum platform and application performance (Nagios)
- Exposure to build systems - Jenkins, GIT, Maven, Sonar, & Archiva
- Exposure to Hadoop/MapReduce desirable
- Experience creating or being part of creating high availability large volume systems
- Intense focus on quality
- Exposure to Agile methodologies such as SCRUM, TDD and XP
- Knowledge of Java and J2EE related technologies (JVM, JMS, and Servlets etc.)
- BS Degree or equivalent in computer science, electrical engineering, or related field preferred
