Device Modelling Engineer

Our leading international Semiconductor partner is looking for a Semiconductor Device Modelling Engineer. Together with the other modelling engineers, you will be responsible for modelling and characterisation of active and passive components in all supported technologies. You will define and verify electrical component Spice models for Spectre that can be used for circuit simulation to enable fast and accurate '1st time right' design. The main focus is on accurate description of the behaviour of components, through a physically based modelling approach, suited for the application of the device within the designs. You will develop and maintain an innovative and effective device-modelling infrastructure using state of the art measurement equipment and modelling methodologies. You will interact with designers in the field of device behaviour and model application, with process and device technology engineers on device and process optimisation. Activities are carried out in cross-functional teams on a project basis, in co-operation with best-in-class technology suppliers or semiconductor foundries.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
Define and design test structures
Define and carry out appropriate measurements on silicon
Model extraction from silicon through ICCAP software
Model targeting for non-typical silicon
Adding corners, spread and statistics
Model verification and/or qualification
Write model extraction reports and publish documentation
Deployment of modelling updates at design teams
Support ProcessBlock creation/qualification
Provide design support

REQUIRED SKILLS:
Education Master or PhD in Physics or Electronic Engineering
Experience and affinity with semiconductor device physics, design tools, chip development applications in Digital-, Mixed Signal-, RF- and/or High Voltage Domain
Skill and affinity in software development, data processing, and computer engineering.
Team worker, willing to work in international and multi-disciplinary teams.
Sector know-how: Semiconductor experience is a must
