Development team lead
My client a leading financial services organisation is looking for a Development team lead to drive a fast passed and exciting project. The ideal candidate will have come from a development background and would have recently made the transition to a team leader. Experience of data heavy environments and developing transactional software is highly desirable. The technology stack is Java, J2EE and Oracle or Unix. You will need to understand these technology areas, technical expertise will be required. The current project phase is due to run until the end of 2016 with further work being possible in the future. This is a great opportunity to work on a flag ship project in a desirable location.
Development team lead
Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities for the Development manager role:
As a Software architect:
*Completes definitions of the processes and databases which comprise the system, ready for subsequent development and implementation
*Determines and documents the architecture from the end to end processes and cross systems aspects
*Defines the physical system architecture, interface specifications and identifies the technical infrastructure and technical inventory
*Defines the architecture and infrastructure for the system to be delivered in production, testing and development environments
*Describes software and hardware requirements and deployment configuration to integrate the proposed system into the existing production system landscape
*Defines operational requirements to support the preparation of operations procedures
*Ensures compliance with internal and external standards applicable to the design and documentation of the solution
As Development team lead
*Lead the software development of the project
*Plan, secure resource allocation and coordinate system specifications, technical design, code delivery and support during test activities
*Provide direction and support development cross-locations teams world-wide and external software providers
*Constantly monitor and report on progress of the project development following the standard of the
*Present reports defining development progress, problems and solutions
Experience for the Development team lead role:
*Proven experience in project management
*Proficient in project management software
*Proven experience in development and software architecture
*Knowledge and experience in SOA, J2EE, Java, Linux, Oracle
*Demonstrated proficiency in interpersonal and communication skills including
*Compliance matters knowledge is an asset
Language skills required for the Development team lead role:
*Proficient in English
