Development Operations Engineer / 100k Salary / Start-Up Firm

I am looking for someone who has a strong background in Java programming in both server side and web based environment, and who is looking for an exciting new opportunity within downtownChicago. The company is very much a start up environment with the backing of a global corporation. They are attempting to build the team from the ground up that will be brought in to spearhead the development of next generation applications for a major global player.

Role:

You will be asked to support and maintain the development and testing environments. This will include automating builds and deployments for a development team of ten people plus. You will be required to effectively interface with the development team as well as operations to ensure smooth deployments.

Preferred Experience:

-3+ years of Java programming
-Strong Knowledge of Apache Web Server and Tomcat
-Knowledge of Database Management and Systems
-2+ years of infrastructure tools like Jenkins/Maven/Puppet

Personal Traits:

-Ability to work over multiple virtual environments
-Ability to learn quickly
-Team player mentality
-Must be very analytical in approach to problem solving
