£30,000 per annum
6 months fixed term contract with potential to become permanent

Eden brown are delighted to be working on behalf of a well loved Children's charity based in Leeds. The role is a brand new position with the aim to develop support hubs based near to the hospital in Leeds. The centre will host individually tailored support for families of children with Cancer in Yorkshire. This is an extremely exciting opportunity to make a real difference to 1,000 of families in the area. This role will develop services led by volunteers and paid staff to deliver family support to enable them to cope with diagnosis, treatment and life after cancer.
The role will be working closely with the ops manager and the board of trustees to deliver a strategic plan that will involve launching further hubs in the future.

The main duties of the role include;

-Research with families for support needs
-Develop reputable services the charity will deliver
-Recruit volunteers where appropriate for service delivery
-Recruit trained external therapists for service delivery
-Produce information for services offered by the charity
-Manage information for services, for print, website and social media
-Work with charities committee structure to develop ideas, reports for the operations manager
-Work with the wider community to ensure best practise and current ideas are developed

The ideal candidate must have previous experience in setting up a project/ service and the management of a service team, in a health or social care field ideally within cancer services or a terminal illness. Previous essential experience includes; grant seeking for projects requiring funding to support and project management and delivery. Candidates must also have excellent interpersonal skills, presentation skills and empathy.
