Development Manager - Software Architect

Our financial client is looking for a Development Manager - Software Architect on Compliance project
GENERAL PURPOSE
Due to the increasingly stricter and more complex standards in the EU and world-wide, Policies & Regulatory Compliance has proposed to further strengthen its compliance program.
With this in mind, the STOP project was tasked with delivering continuous improvements to the sanction scanning of it's transactions and reference data.
Phase 3 of the project is ongoing for delivery in Q3/4 2015 and Phase 4 is starting for delivery Q4 2016.
MAIN JOB TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
As Software architect
- Completes definitions of the processes and databases which comprise the system, ready for subsequent development and implementation
- Determines and documents the architecture from the end to end processes and cross systems aspects
- Defines the physical system architecture, interface specifications and identifies the technical infrastructure and technical inventory
- Defines the architecture and infrastructure for the system to be delivered in production, testing and development environments
- Describes software and hardware requirements and deployment configuration to integrate the proposed system into the existing production system landscape
- Defines operational requirements to support the preparation of operations procedures
- Ensures compliance with internal and external standards applicable to the design and documentation of the solution
As Development manager
-Lead the software development of the project
- Plan, secure resource allocation and coordinate system specifications, technical design, code delivery and support during test activities
- Provide direction and support to development cross-locations teams (Frankfurt, Luxembourg, Prague), client entities (world-wide) and external software providers
- Constantly monitor and report on progress of the project development following the standard of the company to the project manager
- Present reports defining development progress, problems and solutions
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Proven experience in people and project management
- Proficient in project management software
- Proven experience in development and software architecture
- Knowledge and experience in SOA, J2EE, Java, Linux, Oracle
- Demonstrated proficiency in interpersonal and communication skills including oral and written English
- Compliance matters knowledge is an asset
ASSIGNMENT DETAILS
Location: Luxembourg
Start date: ASAP August 2014
End date: November 2016 (extension to be considered as an option for next project phases) Basis: Full time
