Development Manager - GoldenSource - Investment Bank - £75k + bonus + benefits
Are you ready to climb the career ladder into a Development Management role? Here's your opportunity to run a team of 6-8 developers on a global level whilst remaining technically hands on. Read on to find out more!
Change Portfolio Team looking for GoldenSource Development Manager to come on board to run a team of developers, a mix of onshore and offshore, to ensure that the various projects are delivered in a timely fashion.
Duties:
Managing relationship with Vendor - ensuring quality code across the team
Technical leadership of team - code quality & project delivery focus
Liaising with the business - stakeholder management with a number of product areas including Equities, Commodities, FX, Bonds, Swaps, Options etc.
Manage budgets for projects - anywhere between $1m and $5m covering trading, asset management, treasury, prime brokerage and so on.
Hands on technical - hands on development in GoldenSource. Other technologies in the group - Core Java, Oracle etc.
Skills required:
The hiring manager is looking for a seasoned GoldenSource candidate with a hands on development background. This is so that the successful candidate can come on board and get stuck in straight away and more importantly can pass on best practice to his / her team members.
From a banking perspective, the hiring manager is looking for someone with Reference Data knowledge and experience. You should have a broad understanding of front, middle and back office environments as well as a broad understanding of asset classes and instruments as detailed above.
From a management perspective, he is looking for someone who has led a team previously - this includes technical leadership as well as career development. In addition you should be used to managing projects and have a track record of delivering to the business on time.
