Development Environmental Support Engineer

Our client, based in Brussels, Belgium, currently has a contract available for a Development Environmental Support Engineer.

Role:

Be a key player in the configuration control toolset (Git, Gradle, Gerrit, Jenkins, Maven, and Nexus).
Participate to projects related to the selection and deployment of new tools in the Development Environment.
Contribute best practices to the configuration and version control processes.
Support developers in using the new development environment and tools.
Implement, support and maintain the configuration and version control system and its integration into the development environment.

Skills:

The ideal candidate will have:

Solid knowledge of software configuration, version control procedures and best practices.
Solid knowledge in Scripting languages (ksh, Perl).
Solid knowledge of Linux.
Good knowledge of Git.
Experience with MS Word and Excel.
Experience with software development practices with special orientation to Java development and tools like Gradle, Gerrit, Jenkins, Maven, Nexus and Eclipse.
Knowledge of Clear case administration would be an advantage, as would experience with specific tools like HP-ALM and SPARX Enterprise Architect.

The candidate must be able to speak English and French.
