DEVELOPMENT ENGINEER AIX

For one of our leading Financials client currently dealing with some of the latest technologies in the world, we are urgently looking for a Development Engineer AIX for a long contract in Amsterdam.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

- AIX, Linux and Scripting - Expert knowledge
- Sound technical knowledge and up to date certification AIX and Linux
- Knowledge of tooling such as TEM, Puppet and TSAM is an advantage.
- Minimum 4 years experience in a complex IT environment;
- Knowledge of and experience with Scrum. Continuous delivery experience is a plus.
- Experience and affinity with operations
- Dutch and English, excellent written and spoken.

RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE, BUT NOT BE LIMTED TO;

- The further automation of the management of the more than 1000 AIX Servers;
- Providing functionality to end-users without specific knowledge AIX;
- Upgrading and patching all Servers to the latest AIX release;
- Developing and conducting tests;
- In close consultation with concerned Operations Engineers help with complex incidents;
- The shadowing standby services

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The successful Development Engineer AIX will speak fluent Dutch and work daily with our clients infrastructure team. You will knowledge and experience gained elsewhere in developing and renewing usually very complex and large scale IT infrastructures.

As an experienced AIX Specialist you will work on several initiatives to increase the availability of our clients infrastructure. Your core consists of the available and up-to-date of the AIX Servers. In addition, you will work within a team to take on various tasks in the backlog, analyse outstanding problems in the infrastructure and perform structural improvements.

You work directly and intensively with the other AIX Development and Operations Engineers on your team.

CONTRACT: Until Dec 31st with likely extension.
