Development Engineer

On behalf of a leading pharmaceutical company in Switzerland, I am looking for a Development Engineer. This is a contract position in its Rotkreuz offices. My client is looking for a new team member who has experience in laboratory diagnostics and who speaks fluent English. If you are interested in this position, then please check the criteria below:
YOUR TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plan and execution of the work packages within area of responsibility including reporting and escalation of issues to the management
- Experimental design and execution of the experiments in the lab. Creation of Test Cases based on Product and Technical Requirements. Execution of related Test Cases, analysis of the results and creation of the respective regulatory documents. Defect creation and tracking and verification of defect fixes
- Subject matter expert for verification practices. Provide guidance and support to others. Flexibility to transfer knowledge to different tasks/subprojects within SI
- Generate required documentation/procedures/technical reports in support of daily activities and be able to author official documents in English (eg Design history Files) for the preparation of milestones. Prepare and deliver presentations of project results to own or other groups
- Coordinate efforts with other functional areas to accomplish tasks (Hardware, Software, Consumables, Assay-Development as well as customer related areas)
WHAT YOU MUST HAVE:
- Degree in a technical or life sciences discipline (eg Software- or electrical Engineering, Electronic/Automation, Bio- and Process-Engineering or corresponding job experience)
- Interest in the resolution of technical problems and in interdisciplinary teamwork (laboratory, software, automation)
- Experience in and willingness to work in a highly regulated industry and in labs with biosafety levels S1 and S2.
- Enthusiastic team player with good communication and collaboration skills. Solution oriented, autonomous and proactive working style
- Fluent English
- Microsoft Office, statistical tools
