Development Engineer

- Streamlining the chapter's development process from code check-ins, automated deployment and acceptance testing, all the way towards production.
- Industrializing the chosen distributed data platforms within Client for use by other teams.
- Working together with other colleagues in a team and you will be responsible for the data model, the use of the data and tuning the queries.
- Solid understanding of operating, maintaining and developing against NoSQL/Low Latency Data Store (LLDS) Solutions eg Cassandra
- Strong knowledge of Java 7/8 including the Spring framework 3.x/4.x and/or JEE 6.0/7.0.
- Strong knowledge of Scala
- You have real world OO design experience and knowledge of design patterns, combined with an ability to succinctly convey design information using suitable tools.
- 5+ years of software engineering experience, preferably in creating high scalability mission-critical applications.
- Experienced with Agile development & Scrum
- Platform engineering/Total stack experience is hugely beneficial (eg Linux, Puppet, Python, Scripting, )
