Development Database Administrator DBA, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Switzerland.
Our client, a major international organisation based in Lausanne, is currently looking for a Database Administrator with experience of MySQL, PostgreSQL and Oracle to provide support in the monitoring, tuning and maintenance of their databases.
You will perform tuning and optimisation of batabase structures, tuning SQL queries as well as advising on SQL query optimisation.
You will also provide advise on the partioning and indexing strategy as well as on datqabase security, back up and disaster recovery strategy.
You will also be required to monitor, tune, test and develop the database infrastructure as well as migrating databases between software versions, platforms and products.
Experience of working with relational databases essential, specifically MySQL, PostgreSQL and Oracle.
A background working in life sciences projects is highly desirable as is experience of working in an Agile environment.
Due to the urgency of this role, we are only able to accept applications from Swiss-based candidates or those from the European Union.
