Developer (Trading Floor) in Zurich

Our customer is looking for a developer to support their trading floor (trading and sales) in Zurich.

The specialist must be able to quickly develop small Excel/VBA based tools to support the trading floor and work/develop slightly more complex bespoke tools, ensuring that all interfaces (for instance to application like Murex or Front Arena and the like) work properly.

Main tasks

- Develop and maintain Excel and VBA based tools
- Automatizing simple process (scripts/software applications).
- Develop tools and interfaces using Java, Python and C+++
- Some quantitative development R involving possibly the use of mathematical software libraries to support Trading and Sales (trading floor).

Required skills

- quantitative development skills (Ideally R)
- VBA, Excel Java, Python, C++, development skills
- Quantitative development and analysis
- Banking industry knowledge

Ideally the candidate will have some Trading and Sales (trading floor) tool support experience, but Equity- or FX-trade experience are considered as well. Despite the potential complexity of the challenge, we do not require the most seasoned specialist for this role.

Fluent English is an absolute must, German is of advantage. Interviews will be end of February (dates already fixed), start ideally within first week in March.
