Developer - Sharepoint

Working for a highly-sought Government organisation, use your previous skills in SharePoint to design, develop, configure and administer both "out of the box" and tailored solutions.

6 month contract from March to August with a lengthy extension option available.

DUTIES

- Prioritise, analyse and complete tasks according to the nature and urgency of the request.
- Develop new, and support and maintain existing applications, in strict accordance with departmental change control procedures predominately in Microsoft SharePoint.
- Maintain data and office security and system integrity in accordance with Departmental Security Instructions.
- Provide 1st through to 3rd level support for applications.
- Liaise with system administrators for application and implementation management.
- Ensure the tasks and progressive action history are recorded and concluded to the client's satisfaction.
- Transfer skills, provide documentation and exchange information on all relevant aspects of software development and support. Including, but not limited, to training users and support staff in the use of in-house applications.
- Other related tasks may be applicable as required.

SKILLS

- SharePoint 2010 development, design, configuration and administration; for both out of the box development and tailored customisation.
- HTML 5;
- Integrating Microsoft technologies;
- Custom ASP.NET development;
- Exposure to design, implementation and configuration using Visual Studio 2010 and TFS;
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop strong client relationships and translate business requirements to technology solutions;
- Experience in developing and maintaining technical documentation; and
- Relevant Microsoft or tertiary certifications.

Due to the nature of this organisation, Australian citizenship is a mandatory requirement of this role. A NV1 clearance is a minimum requirement of this role. Candidates who hold an NV2 level clearance will be considered first.
