We are currently seeking for an experienced Developer to work for a global insurance organisation to start ASAP for a 6 months + extend contract.
Job Description:
MAINFRAME SPECIALIST:
Develop and maintain If's infrastructure related to Mainframe environments in a cost effective manner
Overall operational monitoring when it comes to capacity or license limitations in our contracts.
Assist all countries with CPU/MIPS related abnormalities
Drive and follow up ongoing activities from our IT Supplier (Tieto, Volvia IT)
Follow-up and report cost for IT infrastructure
Defining Soft Capping limits for LPARs, Service Groups, CPU limitations for CPU usage, IMS requests, DB2 requests
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Understanding and knowledge of Mainframe technology, infrastructure and application development
Structured and analytical, and able to create an overview of complex situations
Tools like CA-Examine and Strobe experience
Excellent communication-, cooperation- and negotiation skills
A team player and a good colleague
Able to work under pressure and prioritize
Very good at building a network with stakeholders
Active in learning new things and taking on new challenges
Enthusiastic, innovative and self-driven personality
Fluent in English, both written and oral
