Developer - Java, JSP, JSTL, HTML 4/5, CSS

Developer required by a leading media client based in Central London on an initial 6 month contract paying £340 per day.

The Developer must have the following:

- Advanced proficiency essential in JSP, JSTL, JavaScript, JQuery, AJAX, HTML 4/5 and XHTML, CSS 1/2/3, XML. A good understanding of Struts and Tiles would be beneficial.
- Strong knowledge of analysis and design practices, and system development methodologies,
- Excellent understanding of dynamic web applications and request/response principles as well as structured granular content items in XML.
- Must be highly experienced in creating semantic, accessible mark-up, style-sheets and JavaScript to work cross-browser and cross-platform.
- A good understanding of rich online content such as Flash, ActionScript 3, Flex, FLV and other video formats.
- A good understanding of object-oriented programming.
- Knowledgeable about upcoming technologies such as Canvas and SVG.
- Experience of project work in structured, multi-discipline development teams. Experience of working in Agile project teams.
- Should possess basic design skills and the ability to think creatively.
- Experience in enterprise-scale data driven web applications and content management systems would be very useful.
- Proficiency with source code version management practices and tools. Perforce experience valuable.
- Excellent oral and written business communication skills.
