Our client are a world leaders in their niche market of E-Commerce. They are a British based company and the majority of tech is UK based, but they also have offices worldwide. They have quickly grown to become one of the leading British dot com success stories and are a superb company to work for.

This is a new role for a very technical developer in test.

Required skills

- Understanding of TDD and/or BDD
- Commercial experience of testing (large scale) APIs
- Understanding of the challenges of testing enterprise scale web applications
- Track record of performing manual and automated testing behind the UI
- Basic understanding of object-oriented programming principles
- Knowledge of one or more programming languages (ideally Java, but also C# and C++ or any OO language)
- Experience of working collaboratively with developers and testers in writing and/or reviewing automated tests at the Unit, Component, Integration and End-to-end level
- Familiarity with at least one Testing Framework (xUnit, JBehave, RSpec, MSpec, Behat, Cucumber, etc.)
- Knowledge of REST
- Good knowledge of the HTTP protocol (HTTP Statuses, HTTP verbs, HTTP headers, Basic Access Authentication)
- Advanced knowledge of XML and JSON

Nice to have

- Knowledge of a scripting language
- Experience using Selenium Webdriver
