Developer - Enterprise System Management ESM/infrastructure engineer needed for a 6 month initial contract based in South Wales. Working for a leading global IT Consultancy, the contract is ideally looking to start by 6th October, or as close to this start date as possible.
Proven and significant experience designing and implementing scalable and robust/supportable applications and services for deployment on Open Source Operating systems

Key skills, experience and day-to-day responsibilities are as follows:

? Design, build, and support of high quality enterprise systems management & infrastructure components, which are deployed in cloud based environments.
? Support the development of a robust automated build and deployment framework of ESM toolsets to support enterprise provisioning and environment management.
? Sharing knowledge of tools and techniques with the wider infrastructure team and others.
? Taking part in 2nd & 3rd-line support of platforms and applications, including occasional support outside of office hours
? Proven and significant experience designing and implementing scalable and robust/supportable applications and services for deployment on Open Source Operating systems.
? This will include the use and deployment of core security/network services and associated virtualisation technologies in the Cloud including the following specific products and technologies:
? Red Hat, VMware vCentre Operations product suite, Hyperic, Open Source virtualisation products, RallyDev, Cherwell, Windows Server 2008 R2 x64, 2012, IIS (7.5)
? SQL Server 2008R2, 2012 (including clustering, mirroring for high availability)
? Design, delivery and implementation of enterprise management and reporting toolsets
? Proven ability to communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience
? System administration and configuration management skills and experience
? Experience of building and scaling systems across multi security zoned environments.
? Proven experience of effectively driving skills and knowledge transfer within a team
? Ensure the service offer thoroughly considers customer needs and a broad range of available methods to meet this, including new technology where relevant
? Demonstrable capability to pay attention to details and follow-through on delivery against commitments
? Clarify strategies and plans, giving a clear sense of direction and purpose for self and team
? Be visible to staff and stakeholders and regularly undertake activities to engage and build trust with people involved in area of work
? Confidently engage with stakeholders and colleagues at all levels to generate commitment to goals
