Developer - Cassandra - Big Data, Java, BI

DEVELOPER - CASSANDRA - BIG DATA, JAVA, BI

On behalf of my client who is a Global System Integrator with a t/o in excess of $6bn and are present in over 31 countries, GIOS Technology are looking to support them with finding an excellent developer with skills specific to - Cassandra - Big Data, Java and BI. This will be a contract role to be based onsite with one of their end clients in the Netherlands and within Life Insurance domain.

SKILLS REQUIRED:

The ideal developer will have previous experience working in the Big Data arena and be able to demonstrate a good working knowledge of the latest tools and technologies.

NOSQL experience, Cassandra mandatory
Java
J2EE
Some Scala experience ideal
Hadoop or Storm
MapReduce, HBase
Hive
Pig
Spark 
Webservices, SOAP or RESTful, Dropwizard would be beneficial.
Agile
TDD

Good communication skills and technical knowledge are essential for this role.
