Developer C++

Our global multinational client in Switzerland (Basel area) is now looking for a Developer C++ to join them on a long term basis. This will either be a permanent position or a long term contract.

Start Date: ASAP
Duration: 1 year + ext
Working language: English. French or German is always welcome.

The Role:
Develop and implement software solutions to solve scientific problems. Working for and with scientists to accelerate science.

The position will report to the Basel Scientific Computing Manager.

You will:
*Develop and implement software solutions to solve scientific problems
*Support scientific and IT groups as a consultant on HPC
*Must be able to develop, research, and persuasively present technical strategies and options to senior IT managers and scientific customer groups
*Process and system standardisation and documentation
*Display a "can do" attitude
*Working in cross-functional and cross-site project teams
*Effective time management, being able to balance ad-hoc requests with long term projects

Your profile:
*Degree in a science, maths, computer science etc subject or relevant experience
*Experience of working in life sciences
*Five years of relevant experience
*Experience of HPC, grid computing etc
*Experience in scientific programming skills could include:
Python
Fortran
C++
MPI
CUDA/OpenCL
