Developer & Analyst

Senovo IT is urgently looking for a Developer/Analyst for a long-term assignment in Zurich.

The developer should have the following skills/experience:

Implement data transformation pipelines in Big Data Platform (Spark, Scala, Python)
Code and design review
Assisting Data Developers on establishing connectivity and automation for data sourcing
Data science including data querying in SQL
Query, process and analyze large data sets
Data reconciliation

Skills Required:
3+ years of experience working in data and big data projects - preferably in data transformation area
Ability to write complex SQL queries (preferable experience in DWH)
Hadoop inc. Cloudera hands on experience
Python
Apache Spark
Scala (optional)
Unix Red Hat Scripting (optional)
DWH platforms
Java
Control-M, rundeck

The second opportunity:

The role includes the following tasks
Development and maintenance of Front End application:
Implement User-Friendly UI based on existing requirements
Challenge existing requirements and suggest simpler implementations where possible
Map and design the user journey of the applications
Build with goal creating scalable, maintainable, and highly efficient application
Building Front End by creating re-usable, customizable components ( templates )
Documenting in the code to make it understandable for other users

Skills
University degree or similar education in information technology or information management or relevant experience in related field
3+ years of software development experience :
- Slate UI development (Palantir Foundry) or
- Intuitive Front End development experience using JavaScript and React.js

Other programming language is an asset, particularly Python and Databases (SQL)
Working experience in Agile teams, preferably SCRUM
Distinctive analytical thinking, well structured, solution-oriented, autonomous, proactive, flexible, able to work under pressure, communicative, insistent, responsible

Language: English, German is an asset
