DEVELOPER- DIGITAL SERVICES - STRONG AGILE EXPERIENCE - (DESIGN/DEVELOPMENT/IMPLEMENTATION/LINUX) - REQUIRED FOR OUR GOVERNMENT CLIENT BASED IN LONDON.

This is an exciting 6 month contract opportunity where the successful candidate will be responsible for designing, building and improving new and existing digital services and processes across the board. Looking for highly skilled interaction and visual designers to design user-centred digital services that are simple, clear and cost effective.

This is a fantastic opportunity for several candidates to join. This contract campaign will be looking to take on 6 Front End and 12 Back End developers.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

Web application development frameworks )windows and Apache)

Wide range of development frameworks and platforms (MVC (ZEND),WAMP, .NET)

SQL based and NoSQL data storage and data design platforms

Knowledge of Front End technologies- Front End technologies including HTML 4/5, CSS 2/3, JavaScript (incl. JQuery libraries), Flash, Adobe CS Suite

Knowledge of Middleware languages (Scripting, procedural and declarative) including PHP 5+, C# (ASP.NET v2+), XSLT

Practical experience of user-centred design and agile development

Ability to learn new languages and frameworks

Experience of writing robust automated test

Experience of Linux platform development

Working knowledge of MongoDB, Vsphere, Ruby, Moodle Training platform, WordPress, Drupal, RDFa and GitHub

Expertise in open source principles, platforms and languages and the semantic web

Expertise of CMS implementation (esp. Squiz Matrix, RedDot)

Active interest in new digital technologies

This is very much a team-working environment and the role will involve significant interaction with stakeholders, internal agencies and team members. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively and challenge requirements where necessary. You will also be required to provide skills transfer/training for inhouse team members.The client is looking to bring in a contractor for an immediate start.

This is initially a 6 month contract, with the opportunity to extend as required.
