Developer

Position Description:
Responsible for providing development and technology architecture work required to support the IT Asset Management program projects involving all aspects of the project life cycle from inception to implementation.

Provide analysis, design, and programming support for the Asset Management application. Works with a team consisting of technical and functional analysts focused on the delivery of service/products:
For development, majority of time is spent coding using independently-chosen methods to meet client/user specifications, conducting non-routine maintenance activities and guiding lower-level teammates.
Troubleshoots technical problems and conducts analyses for efficient program/application solutions which support client business processes and functional requirements.
May provide input to estimate requirements for project plans.

Minimum Education
4-year degree in Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent work experience

Minimum Work Experience and Qualifications
Bachelor's degree MS or equivalent technical training
5-7 years programming accountability with increasing levels of responsibility
5-7 years experience with HP AssetManager, HP AssetManager Web, and Connect-IT Integration Tool
5-7 years experience DBMS (DB2, Oracle or SQL)
3-5 years experience in Java or .NET Development as it relates to Enterprise Application Integration (ESB, Workflow Engines, Web Services)
5-7 years experience in system administration of both Unix and Windows platforms
Understanding of ITIL v3 as it relates to Service Management, and IT Asset Service and Configuration Management
Understanding of the Procurement/Disposal Processes
Web Deployment (IIS and Tomcat) experience
Excellent responsiveness and reliability
Experience managing a wide-range of activities and projects
Regularly contributes to the development of new concepts, techniques, and standards.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Ability to communicate ideas to both business and technical people.
Demonstrated excellent interpersonal skills with ability to facilitate small and large groups
Skilled in documentation of user requirements for reporting development or equivalent documentation skill
Ability to learn new technologies quickly, and without formal training.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Ability to think and act from a broad systems perspective as well as the data detail level
Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools; Word, Powerpoint, Access, Excel, Visio
