BACKGROUND:
My client is a Brussels based international bank; they have a massive programme of applications developments and are looking for additional resources with Microsoft Windows development skills.
TASKS/SKILLS:
You will be join one of two streams, either the Business Intelligence team which is responsible for the development of Management Reports, or the Rapid Application Development team which provides solutions for new applications.
In either case you will be meeting with the Back Office operation teams, analysing their needs, coming up with rapid development solutions and testing the new applications. The BI team requires some appreciation of the business which is in the area of banking (transaction settlement, clearing and custody).
The role would suit either a Developer with an appreciation of the business (requirements formulation, gathering etc) or a junior Business Analyst who has written code in the past.
Minimum 4 years experience in .Net, VB, VBA, Excel (inc. Macros), Access (inc Queries),
Applications Design/Development.
Some experience in the Banking/Finance sector or in large companies will be an advantage.
