Dev/Research Senior Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Work closely with business process partners and other validation engineers to develop validation plans for testing new system and component designs.
- Collaborate with design engineers and service teams to understand how parts perform in the field as an integral part of the design process.
- Determine test sites based on application specific needs, sales data, warranty information, or other criteria as defined by the product requirements.
- Work closely with customers and dealers to obtain test agreements and schedule tests on customer owned equipment.
- Develop and plan validation requirements for wear components.
- Validate planning and project management for field tests, working directly with dealers, developing customer agreements for confidentially and testing guidelines, and travelling to dealer and customer sites to assist with the initial installation and follow-up inspections.
- Work with appropriate groups to ensure parts availability and delivery to customer/dealer sites as indicated in the plan and test agreements.
- Monitor the tests, provide test status updates to the product group, perform failure analysis as needed or end of life of the tests, and document the project results in a formal Technical Information Document.
- Potential travel, up to 70%.
- Candidate will be required to take MSHA training.

- Must be able to communicate processes, tools, and methods to internal users.
- Must be able to recognize gaps in processes and tools and develop improved processes.
- Must be able to diagnose component failures.
- Must have good technical writing skills.
- Recent college graduates are ideal candidates.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

- Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
- Eight to ten years engineering experience required.
