Dev/Research Lab Support Engineer

SUMMARY:

- Working from a variety of source documents to determine what parts need to be ordered and quantities.
- Working with Procurement and Logistics to order correct quantities from both plant and supplier sources. Schedules delivery of material to satisfy schedule dates and to prevent back order or past due status.
- Plan and coordinate engine rebuild and hardware swap.
- Host and facilitate various hardware readiness meetings with a diverse team.
- Determine a list of common engine consumables and maintain inventory.
- Consolidate on-hand engine hardware and track inventory.
- Identify and implement opportunities for improvement.

SKILLS:

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: 2-4 year college degree or prior job experience.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:

- Strong customer focus, good communication/interpersonal skills.
- Good team skills for working in a cooperative and diverse team environment.
- Attention to details, strong sense of urgency
- Advanced ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawing, schematics and computer-generated reports.
- Strong planning and organization skills.
- Familiar with natural gas and/or diesel engine configurations.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

- Familiar with parts ordering and expediting systems.
- Familiar with Prove Design systems.
- Experience working with Team Center.
