Dev Engineer with a Passion for IT REQ

A Leading Dutch banking organisation are looking for a well-seasoned DevOps Engineer to join a number of greenfield projects in the heart of Amsterdam. As a Dev Engineer it means that you master both the conceptual phase and the actual development and testing of applications. You understand the entire (Mainframe) Stack, so that as a Dev Engineer you can bring applications to production and solve incidents together with the Ops Engineer. This means that you can contribute to the realization of all activities in the backlog.

Your work environment
is an environment where the main business payment processes with Mainframe applications are supported. This environment will be operational for some time and together with your colleagues you will help simplify this IT landscape.

Who are you?
You are the Dev engineer who finds it challenging to manage and expand important business payment applications, with an eye for an important complexity reduction that the bank wants to achieve in these applications. And this together with your colleagues in an involved squad at the bank in Amsterdam.

Knowledge about/experience with business payment processes is an absolute plus.

* You have experience with and knowledge of Mainframe applications.
* In-depth knowledge of (Mainframe DB2) databases and SQL, Cobol, PL1, JCL, CICS, IMS, MQ, Z/OS, ISPF, Endevor, TWS.
* Understanding and knowledge of detailed 'technical behavior' of own system at normal and peak load.
* Experience with the lead in risks related to performance of the application after changes releases.
* Understanding how your application fits into the entire chain of which it is part.
* You are familiar with automation of Testing and Deployment with UFT.
* You have experience working in an Agile organization.
* You have a good command of the Dutch and English language, in word and in writing.
Knowledge of tooling like Artifactory, Nolio, Maven, Microfocus Server Enterprise, Git, Jenkins and Nolio is an advantage.
