DETAIL DESIGN - LIAISON ENGINEER/CMPIC/ICEPIC

A Detail Design - Liaison Engineer with CMPic and ICEpic experience is required to work on a twelve month contract (with the possibility of extension) for our Defence client based in Glasgow.

This is a 12 month contract working for a UK leading defence company.

KEY SKILLS REQUIRED FOR THE DETAIL DESIGN - LIAISON ENGINEER

As a project enters its manufacturing phase there will be a requirement to manage technical issues raised by Production staff during the build phase.

Liaison Draughtsmen will be provided by the Drawing Office to deal with problems arising within any Project.

THEIR ROLE IS:

- To trace a change from inception to completion.
- To enable a technical query to be answered promptly.
- To formally advise production of an impending change.
- To reduce delays in Production by authorising work in advance of a drawing issue and to advise of revised drawing issues with a production effect.
- To enable effective feedback of technical information, from which the Drawing Officecould, where necessary update drawings to reflect agreed changes at ship.
- The successful candidate will be doing using CMPic or ICEpic for cable management duties.

The role is based in Glasgow - Commutable from Kilmarnock, Paisley, Greenock, Stirling and Falkirk with excellent access from Edinburgh.
