DETAIL DESIGN - OUTFIT LIAISON ENGINEER - TRIBON, SHIPBUILDING.

A Detail Design - Outfit Liaison Engineer with Tribon and shipbuilding experience is required to work on a twelve month contract with the possibility of extension for our Defence client based in Glasgow.

This is a 12 month contract with a leading UK defence client.

OVERVIEW OF THE DETAIL DESIGN - OUTFIT LIAISON ENGINEER CONTRACT ROLE.

As a project enters its manufacturing phase there will be a requirement to manage technical issues raised by production staff during the build phase. Liaison Draughtsmen will be provided by the Drawing Office to deal with problems arising within any project.

KEY SKILLS REQUIRED FOR THE DETAIL DESIGN - OUTFIT LIAISON ENGINEER.

Their role is:

- To trace a change from inception to completion.
- To enable a technical query to be answered promptly.
- To formally advise production of an impending change
- To reduce delays in Production by authorising work in advance of a drawing issue and to advise of revised drawing issues with a production effect.
- To enable effective feedback of technical information, from which the Drawing Office could, where necessary update drawings to reflect agreed changes at ship.

The role is based in Glasgow - Commutable from Kilmarnock, Paisley, Greenock, Stirling and Falkirk with excellent access from Edinburgh.
