Desktop Systems Operating Engineer

A large Government Department is seeking various Desktop Systems Operating Engineers for its multiple positions until 30 June 2013.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Support and implementation of End User Computing technologies;
- Technical support of incident and problem resolution in relation to End User Computing services; and
- Skills transfer and mentoring of staff for Mainframe systems.

SKILLS:

- Desktop experience in the design, development, testing, certification and release of Windows based desktop SOE designs;
- High level of understanding of Microsoft Windows Server Desktop Operating systems;
- Understanding of Microsoft Windows server and desktop operating systems;
- Technical experience and knowledge of a variety of products and services which includes; Microsoft Windows Server 2008; Microsoft Windows Server 2003; Microsoft Windows 7; Microsoft Windows XP; Windows Active Directory; Powershell Scripts; VB Scripts; and
- Minimum two years' experience in the field.
