Desktop Support Technician (Win 7 Migration)

Link Technologies is seeking a Desktop Support Technician to assist with an MS Windows 7 rollout for our client in Las Vegas, NV. This is a contract assignment expected to last 3 months. 

IMPORTANT: Candidate will be required to pass a TS/SCI Full Lifestyle Polygraph Test.

Job Description: Desktop Support Technician (Win 7 Migration)

JOB SUMMARY:

This is a short-term position (3 month contract) working with a municipal client performing a roll out of Windows 7.  

KEY JOB FUNCTIONS:

- Assists in the development of enterprise (and multi-client) solutions for the deployment of Windows 7 and custom & vendor applications. 
- Assists in the coordination, scheduling, setup, installation, testing of migrated clients. 
- Participates in equipment inventory and asset tracking.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Experience with enterprise Windows 7 rollouts and setup. 
- Ability to successful pass a Police Background Investigation w/Poly (Mandatory Requirement). 
- Previous OS migration experience. 
- Experience with OS installation and User Accounts setup. 
- Familiar with MS Office products (Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint). 
- Experience with SCCM, WDS, MAP, MDT or other enterprise deployment tools is a plus. 
- A+ or equivalent certification or technical training (eg ITT or Military Tech School) is a plus.
