Desktop Support Technician Job

DESKTOP SUPPORT (OUTLOOK AND MS OFFICE) TECHNICIANS needed for a CONTRACT opportunity with Yoh's client located in Washington, DC.

TOP SKILLS YOU SHOULD POSSESS:

- OUTLOOK AND OFFICE SUPPORT
- Lotus Notes
- Excellent Communication Skills

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Perform DESKTOP SUPPORT IN MICROSOFT OFFICE, SPECIFICALLY WORD, AND OUTLOOK SUPPORT.
- Also support some Vista and Lotus Notes.
- Utilize Remedy Ticketing system.
- Excellent communication skills and professional, customer service oriented.
- Some possible Blackberry support
- Escalate, coordinate, and collaborate support issues with multiple teams as necessary.
- Document all call incidents and problems in call tracking software.
- Take live call referrals from any team member and provide technical support.
- Provide follow-up status to clients according to support policies and procedures.

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING TO THE TABLE:

- One to five (2 to 3) years of field experience
- Experience supporting Executives staff members.
- Makes appropriate use of reference publications and diagnostic aids in resolving technical problems.
- Assist in coordination of changes, upgrades and new products, ensuring systems will operate correctly in current and future environments.
- Provide accurate and complete answers to general use and administrative environment questions in a timely manner.
- Communicate accurate and useful status updates.
- Manage and report time spent on all work activities.
- Follow quality standards.
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Complete assigned tasks.
- Strong communication skills; both written and spoken.
- Top notch presentation skills.
- General Blackberry troubleshooting experience a plus
