We are URGENT looking for a Desktop Support Technician to work for our international world wide client based here in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. This is a contracting position. Due to circumstances the deadline is today at 3 PM CET!


As a Desktop Support Technician you assist the companies workforce with technology requests and problem resolution. You will identify employee needs, and you bring enthusiasm to interactions and solutions.


- Diagnose and resolve software and hardware incidents, including operating systems (Windows and Mac) and across a range of software applications.
- Assist users with any logged IT-related incident when called upon.
- Take ownership of issues by carrying out problem analysis to implement temporary or permanent fixes with the aim of restoring service to the customer as soon as possible; escalating incidents to other support teams where necessary.
- Accurately record, update and document requests using the IT service desk system.
- Install and configure new IT equipment to company standards.
- Resolve incidents with printers, copiers and scanners.
- To maintain a first-class level of customer service ensuring that all customers are treated efficiently and in an appropriate manner.
- Maintain excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical colleagues at all levels in the organization.
- Lead day-to-day support operations at assigned locations.
- Preparation of weekly site status reports.
- Support video & teleconferencing hardware.
- On-site/remote hand for server and networking teams.


- Min. 2 years experience in a similar position
- Previous technical support experience in relevant companies.
- You have a strong interest in technology, and are agile in learning new products and services.
- Knowledge of universal client image creation, patching, management and testing.
- Experience with Exchange/SMTP, VPN solutions, WirelessLAN, LAN and basic knowledge of TCP/IP and cabling.
