DESKTOP SUPPORT TECHNICIAN - NYC

We are looking for an experienced DESKTOP SUPPORT TECHNICIAN to work for one of the world's top 500 fortune companies.

SCOPE OF WORK:

- Troubleshoot hardware and software
- Respond to deskside for user support.
- Hardware is Lenovo laptops and desktops, software is Microsoft office and Outlook, mobile devices such as Blackberry, and no server or network support is required.
- No travel, support 1 location in NYC Mon-Friday 9AM-6PM

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

- High school diploma or GED
- 2 year degree in IT related field or equivalent experience in IT
- Proficient in PC skills
- Knowledge and experience using process improvement tools
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Microsoft Office Suite experience (eg Excel)
- Experienced with enterprise ticketing system for managing trouble tickets and queue operations
- Understand SLA driven performance requirements within vendor/client operations
- Prior experience in operating/maintaining PCs, laptops, and peripherals
- Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
