DESKTOP SUPPORT TECHNICIAN ALBANY, NY CONTRACT OPPORTUNITY

REQUIREMENTS:

Communication

- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to document technical procedures and knowledge documents for fellow technicians and end users

Deskside Support

- Must possess ability to work directly with clients, and communicate progress while working toward resolution of issues
- Strong customer service skills and will follow through with clients, even after issue has been resolved
- Ability to take an assigned project, manage it through its duration, and resolve any issues with the highest user satisfaction
- Consistency and the ability to multitask effectively
- Can work with clients over the phone as effectively as in person
- Team player who can cooperate with team members to quickly and efficiently resolve issues
- Strong working knowledge of smartphones and tablets including Blackberry, IPhone, IPad and Android devices

Software Support

- Ability to support business software in a corporate environment
- Incudes install, configuration, troubleshooting and training of Windows 7 and Office 2010 and other task specific and internal software

Hardware Break-Fix Support

- Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair client desktops, laptops and printers in an office environment
- Experience with DELL products a plus

Printer Issue Troubleshooting

- Troubleshoot multifunction and single user Xerox and HP printers
- Basic repair skills and ability to determine root cause of printing issue

Windows 7, Office 2010

- Troubleshoot and fix Operating System errors and issues
- Repair and customize full Office 2010 Suite of software and train clients on interface

Encryption Software

- Escalation point for L2 Encryption issues, possess a full understanding of the product and work with COE to resolve account and/or Workstation issues, own the resolution of all issues
- Experience with McAfee Endpoint Encryption a plus

RSA/Remote Access

- Manage deployment of remote access tokens, manage local token inventory

Ticketing System

- Monitor ticket queue to ensure all tickets are being addressed, assigned, followed through to resolution, and users contacted in a timely manner
- Log troubleshooting and client contact notes into tickets each time a case is worked
- Be aware of and follow all SLAs for client issues

Wireless

- Assist clients with wireless connectivity in office environment

A/V

- Basic polycom and projector support skills
