DESKTOP SUPPORT/WIN7 MIGRATION CHESTERFIELD, MO CONTRACT OPPORTUNITY

We re looking for Support Tech candidates for a Windows 7 migration project and hardware break-fix activities. Lenovo and HP certifications are a plus but not required.

For the Windows 8 rollout, Technicians will need to have some experience with Windows 8. The role will be that of the greeter - 30 minute sessions with clients to schedule PC delivery, update ServiceCenter, and walk users through the first steps of migration. Candidates need to have extremely strong customer service and communication skills.

OVERVIEW

- Maintains, analyzes, troubleshoots, and repairs computer systems, hardware and computer peripherals.
- Documents, maintains, upgrades or replaces hardware and software systems.
- Supports and maintains user account information including rights, security and systems groups.
- Trains employees, identifies, analyzes, and repairs product failures, orders and replaces parts as needed.
- Determines and recommends which products or services best fit the customers' needs.
- Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job.
- Works under immediate supervision.
- Primary job functions do not typically require exercising independent judgment.

REQUIREMENTS

- Entry level- 3 years of experience in the field or in a related area and an Associate's degree or equivalent
- Infrastructure/Data Center experience strongly desired
- Lenovo laptop/desktop certifications and HP printer certifications strongly desired.
- Knowledge of commonly-used Tech Support concepts, practices, and procedures
- Must have excellent communication and presentation skills
