Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Providing technical specialism in the management and maintenance of a centrally managed desktop environment.
- Proactively Supporting & maintaining desktop platform with adherence to ITIL based operational support and delivery processes
- Proactively managing Customer Support requests generated via the Help Desk
- Ensuring best practice is adhered to in the delivery of the desktop service.
Key Skills/Experience:
The Desktop Support Specialist role requires a strong understanding of centralised SOE Deployment, Application Management and Virtualisation technologies. The ideal candidate will be able to successfully deliver to tight timeframes and have demonstrated experience in a similar role in a large, complex ICT environment.
To be successful in this role, you will be able to demonstrate the following competencies:
- Proven in-depth knowledge in one or more of the following technologies:
- Windows 7 platform management
- Citrix XenDesktop
- AppSense Application and Profile Manager
- App-V Application Management
- Lumension Device Control
- Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills
- Experience and/or Certification in Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) is highly desirable
