Job Title: Desktop Support Specialist
Duration: Contract- 4 years
Location: Waynesboro, GA 30830

Our client is seeking a Desktop Support Specialist to provide daily installation, troubleshooting and maintenance on workstations, laptops, personal devices, printers and plotters. Selected individual will need to understand Windows XP operating system, Windows 7 operating system, a working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat products.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Provide routine desktop support, including installation, break/fix, general troubleshooting and client support.
- Provide inventory and asset management
- Provide procurement support for client requests, including request tracking and invoice processing
- Provide support for employee adds/moves/changes affecting IT products and services
- Utilize Remedy to track work and provide updates on assigned cases
- Provide support for smart phone setups.
- Minimal travel as required for off-site business meetings and training

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

- Understanding of IT infrastructure, Servers and networks
- Understanding of desktop configuration
- Knowledge of customer's business and local technical environment
- Ability to learn new products and desktop software as needed
- Proficient in the use of 2007/2010 Microsoft Office, including Excel, Access and Word
- Well organized and demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Establish highly credible relationships with customers and team members.
- Manage competing priorities.
- Appropriately set and exceed customer expectations.
- Communicate effectively with all levels of management.
- Exhibit initiative and follow through with customer commitments.
- Must be able to pass nuclear background requirements
